The Best Gift

“Wow Molly, I’m still having dreams about our grand entrance during our birthday celebration - our crowns on, our heads held high, and “Who Let the Dogs Out” blaring into the noon day sun! Now I know how Jack felt when he shouted, ‘I’m the king of the world!’ except we are queens!”

"I'm the queen of the world!"

“And don’t forget the cake! And the balloons! And the card!” Carter continued.

Thank you for your wonderful birthday wishes!

“And the children,” Molly interrupted “And all of our friends! And Princess Carina taking our birthday wishes, and holding them close to her heart! Oh Carter, they are sure to come true!"
“Well I was wishing for a piece of that cake! I don’t know what happened to it! The last I saw it they were taking it to the galley to our crew….

The Vanishing Cake
I wonder if there is still a piece left for us…” Carter’s voice trailed off as she licked her lips, thinking of that sweet frosting.

Mmmmm...frosting...
“Carter, we don’t have time to think of that! Besides, we always get lots of treats, and I’m sure we’ll get some goodies in our Christmas stockings!”
“Christmas?”
“Yes. Christmas! I love this time of year! Christmas is the day of the year when we get lots and lots of presents! I want a new tiara, and I want that beautiful blue sweater with all of the jewels on it! I also want a big, big bone to chew on, and…Carter? What’s the matter?”
“Well, I thought it was more blessed to give than to receive and I was thinking, well, we won’t be ‘more blessed’ if we’re not giving anything.”
Molly paused for a moment, then her ears perked up, her eyes widened and she leapt into the air. “I know what we’ll do! Let’s go shopping at Titanic and we’ll surprise our crew with gifts! Titanic gifts! We’ll give them on the 1st 12 days of December – it will be called, ‘The 12 Days of Christmas!’”
“Are we making a movie?”
“Ok, I have a flare for the dramatic – but don’t you think that is an awe-inspiring idea!?”
“It’s a beautiful idea Molly. I think we should take turns blogging about it too! That way we can share the joy with all of our friends and family!”
“Carter, I never thought I would say it, but you are brilliant.”
“Brilliant?”
“It means you are very smart. Maybe you can help me get started on this blog. We have a lot of work to do to get ready!”

These keyboards could be more paw-friendly!

Stay tuned for Molly & Carter’s “12 Days of Christmas” beginning December 1st, 2012!

Extra! Extra! Read All About It!

"Guess whose birthday it is this weekend!?"

"Let me guess! Pick me!" Carter pleaded as she ran back and forth in front of her sister, Molly. "I love guessing games!"

"You're the only...dog...here," Molly said with a puzzled look on her face.

"Woohoo!" Carter continued without batting an eye. "Give me my first clue."

"Well, they are the smallest crew members onboard."

"Ok, go on."

"They are cute, really cute - and cuddly." Molly paused to give Carter some time to search her mind for the answer. "Do you have any ideas yet?"

"Oh! I know! Don't tell me. Is it First Class Maids Misha and Somer?"

"No silly!" Molly exclaimed. "You know.... they are furry? With long tails?" Molly was now exaggerating her words in hopes that Carter would soon catch on.

"What," gasped Carter, "we have cats on the ship?!"

"No Carter! It's US! It's our 4th birthday this weekend! We are having cake, and balloons, and decorations, and the crew even got a HUGE card for our friends to sign when they come to see us! Of course, we will also get to take pictures with all of our birthday guests!"

Our 3rd birthday party! It was grand!

Carter jumped for joy and shouted "This Saturday we will be the stars of Branson!"

Molly placed her paw over her face, shook her head and sighed "We are the stars of Branson Carter. At least, that's what our crew tells us, and they are very smart!"

"We're the stars of Branson!" Carter declared with even greater enthusiasm.

"Yes Carter and you know what that means don't you?"

"We get to wear dark glasses, and ride around in a limousine, and give people our 'paw'-tograph! You know, because we use our paw to sign? Get it Molly, 'paw'-tograph?"

"Do you think anyone will recognize us Molly?"

Molly shook her head again "No Carter. It means we are IN with the biggest star coming to the ship this weekend - Princess Carina!"

"Princess Carina?" Carter questioned, cocking her head inquisitively.

"Oh Carter, she is so pretty! She is every Titanic Princess' dream! She has a beautiful white gown that sparkles like freshly fallen snow. When she sings all the little wood creatures come out to play with her! Her sparkling tiara crowns her in royal fashion and her smile makes you feel all warm and fuzzy inside. We can tell her our Christmas wishes and even get a picture with her! I love being famous."

As Molly drifted off with a dreamy look in her eye Carter interrupted "But Molly, surely you don't have to be famous to meet our Fantasy Princess? There must be so many children that would want to meet her, and it just wouldn't be fair to keep her all to ourselves. I know! Let's invite all the children to come to our birthday party and meet Princess Carina!"

"I guess you're right Carter," Molly reluctantly agreed. "It is Thanksgiving this week, and it is a time for gathering people together and sharing good things. Birthdays are always more special when they are celebrated with friends!"

We love celebrating with family & friends!

To all of our friends, both to children and to those young at heart, we invite you to come join us at the Titanic Museum Attraction this week for Thanksgiving, to meet our Fantasy Princess, and to help us celebrate our 4th birthday! It will be a Titanic Adventure! We hope to see you there!
