Our Latest Adventure

"Well, this is it, Molly. We are really living the dream!"

"Who would have thought that two sisters from the south could become entertainers in the Live Music Capital of the Universe?"

"And we don't even sing or play music! Ha!"

"Not only that, we made it through our entire career without any scandals, addictions or burned bridges! Well, if I don't count your food addiction, Carter."

"OK, Molly, and I won't count your obsession with, um, well, with YOU!"

"Yes, yes, well that's all in the past now; however, I did think we looked pretty amazing riding in John & Mary's Escalade."

It was a sweet ride!

"And everyone thought we were joking when we talked about traveling the world and living up the retired life!"

"They sure loved us at the Kentucky border visitor center."

"Oh, that was the best...eating, running, playing, smelling the flowers."

"Everyone should stop and smell the flowers, Carter. If life is all about the destination then we miss the joy of the journey."

"That's deep, Molly."

"Yes, even I have deep thoughts, Carter."

"Me too. In fact, I was just thinking of how deep they piled my plate with food when we stayed at our luxury suite and had breakfast in bed. Now that was DEEP!"

"Ugh, Carter...you can remove the dog from the primitive, but you can't remove the primitive from the dog."

"Uhhh...that's deep too. Let's finish this up. I really need to take a trip to the grass if you know what I mean."

There's lots of grass in Kentucky!

"Yes, and I'm sure they are overjoyed to know you'll be making good use of it."

"Hey, we've already met Marvin the goat, Charlie the Schnauzer, and Ella the Tennessee Walker Horse - not to mention the 3 other Labs here."

"And your point?"

"They were already making good use of the grass before I ever showed up."

Someone's gotta fertilize the soil.

"OK, OK, Carter. Enough with the toilet talk."

"Who said anything about a toilet?"

"Never mind!"

"OK, Molly, whatever you say, but I think your age might be showing. I never even said the word toilet."

"Carter!"

"Sorry."

"Now let's get back to the sweet things I was talking about before, like smelling the flowers and enjoying life with our family."

"No."

"No."

"No."

"What was your favorite part of this adventure then?"

"When we grilled steaks outside and slept on the couch! Pure paradise!"

"You are a hopeless case, Carter!"

"No, I'm just a real dog living a dog's life!"

June Blast Off!

It is June and we have been given the "All Aboard!"

"It seems like it was just yesterday that we were sunbathing during the Father's Day Bass Pro Boat Show!"

"I know, Molly. Now, here we are almost one year later and it's coming up again!"

"And I still feel pudgy in all my bathing suits!"

"You're telling me!  I'm hoping the groomer doesn't shave us and expose all my rolls!"

"Well, I guess that's what happens to a dog in semi-retirement...oh no. What will happen when we are REALLY retired!?"

"Let's not think of that now, Molly. At least we are at the ship every weekend ALL SUMMER LONG! I kind of like this light schedule!"

"Yes, it does give us more time to watch TV. That reminds me! We have to watch JTV tonight! The Titanic Jewelry Collection is being featured tonight & tomorrow!" 

They should have created a collar for dogs in the Astor collection.

"Absolutely right, Carter! We should suggest it!"

"If they make one in time you could wear it when Yvonne Hume visits the ship!"

"Wouldn't that be grand!? I could really look 1st Class!"

"Well, I don't know about that, but at least your appearance would be tolerable."

"Look who's talking Miss Pudgy Rolls!"

"It's more of me to love!"

"That's true, and I do love you. Do you think Yvonne would read the rough draft of my book? I just know it will be a best-seller! EVERYONE will want it!"

 "Um....Molly, who helped you design this cover?"

"I did it. Why?"

"Oh, nothing..."

"What?"

"Well, it's just that you don't look very 'unsinkable' in that picture." 

"But I'm on top of the ship, ya know, like...it didn't conquer me..."

"Mmmmm...no, not really the message I get. I wouldn't buy it." 

"No?"

"No."

"OK, I guess it's back to the drawing board. I want to fix it before Yvonne sees it. She is a descendant of Titanic's John Law Hume, after all." 

"Great idea! Let me know when you finish!"

The Case of the Missing Cookie

Caught on Camera!

 

 "Carter, did you see the news!?"

 

"No, Molly. Why?"

 

"Oh, we've really done it now. I knew I shouldn't have listened to you!"

 

"What? What are you talking about?"

 

"The cookie! The one on the kitchen chair!"

 

"What about it? Did it make you gassy?"

 

"NO! No, no, no! We were caught on camera, and now the news is broadcasting our photo all over the television! We're caught, Carter. They know!"

 

"Whoa, calm down, Molly."

 

"I WILL NOT calm down. We've also put baby Grace at risk. They think she's our accomplice."

 

 

"Wow, that's not a very good picture of me. It looks like a mug shot of some low class criminal."

 

"Carter, we are going to have to get our PR person involved. Our reputation is at stake.... and that IS a terrible picture of you." 

 

"Molly, I say we just come clean. How can anyone blame a dog for eating a cookie that was left out in the open?"

 

"But if momma Kelli sees this, she's going to figure out what happened to William's disappearing graham crackers...and his Cheez-its...and his fruit snacks."

 

"Do you think she'll put two and two together?"

 

"Yes, Carter! Oh - we've really made a mess of things. And we're supposed to be on a diet!!!"

 

"Molly! Pull yourself together! Let's just confess it all and ask for mercy....I mean, you can only eat bland, boring dog food for so long!"

 

"You're right, Carter. Our fans adore us and they will be forgiving. Let's post a darling, sweet photo on Facebook and confess our cookie crimes."

 

 

"How about this one with the captain's hats?"

 

"Perfect."

 

"And then let's commit to doing some exercise. Let's post a picture of us walking on a long trail."

 

"Oh, how about this one?"

"Perfect."

"Lastly, we just invite everyone to come see us in person on Memorial weekend. Once they pet us and look into our eyes they'll forget all about this betrayal of trust!"

"Geez, Molly, aren't you being a little dramatic?"

"No...well, maybe a little. I am gifted in that way."

"Well, since you're so gifted, what will we tell Momma Kelli?"

"Let's just tell her sorry...and then blame William for tempting us to sin!"

"Molly!"

"OK, we'll just say sorry. I think she'll forgive us."

"She will."

Hoppy Easter!

 

"What an amazing Easter we had, Molly! We got so many eggs!"

 

"Yeah, but we can't eat them!"

 

 "We can't? Oops. What about the candy?"

 

"Nope."

 

"Double oops."

 

"Oh well, Carter, at least Easter is only once a year so I can let it slide this time....only if you promise not to tell anyone that I ate some candy too."

 

"My lips are sealed. Wait, is that why you started hopping around like a bunny? I thought that seemed a little strange for you."

 

 Well, I'm not used to eating so much sugar!

 

"That's OK, Molly. You'll get plenty of exercise at the Grand Opening of the Elmo and Rosalea Marrs Memorial Dog Park this weekend!"

 

"I can't wait! It will be the biggest social event we've attended since our semi-retirement, and there will be LOTS of dogs there!"

"Molly, you can dress to impress. My heart belongs to one dog. His name is Brojan. Didn't he look dreamy this weekend?"

"Love that smile!"

"Yeah, yeah, yeah. You two lovebirds left me out in the cold, but this weekend I could meet my prince charming!"

"Yes, maybe he'll be running in the Bark for Life. I love a dog that can give back to a good cause!"

 

"Maybe I should run too. What do you think, Carter?"

 

"I think you'd do better than me! I get winded walking around the block!"

A Month of Celebration!

It is Officially Irish Month at the Titanic!

"Carter, don't look so sad! This is a festive month!"

"I know, Molly, I just wish it would stop snowing so we could lay in the warm sunshine like the lions of Africa."

"The lions of Africa!? Where do you get this stuff?"

"I've been reading a lot of National Geographic magazines...we should really consider world travel since we're retired."

"I was thinking south Florida."

 

"And you think I'm the one with no ambition!"  

"Well, we can at least pretend to travel to Ireland this month when we visit the Titanic!"

 

You're right - we do look pretty good in green too!

"Besides, I still need time to recover from Mardi Gras! Boy do those people know how to have some fun!"

And, boy, do we know how to dress for the occasion!

 

"Molly, what is Fat Tuesday anyway?"

 

"It's the day that everyone can eat rich, fatty foods before they fast for Lent."

 

"Wow! A day to eat anything I want! How come I didn't get to indulge in rich, fatty foods on Tuesday?"

 

 "Because you're on a diet."

"But..."

"No buts, Carter! We have to look our best! Our 2014 season begins this week and we want to be in tip top shape!"

"OK, Molly, but next year I am going to eat some King Cake!"

 

"Do what you want next year, but on March 15th, and then March 17th - 23rd, we will be making another appearance at Titanic! It will be St. Patty's Day and Spring Break!"

 

"Well, I hope they don't ask me to wear a bikini again - or a hula skirt for that matter!"

Oh, it wasn't that bad, Carter!

 

"Speak for yourself, Molly. I am still recovering from the trauma."

 

"Now who's being dramatic!?"

 

"We get to take turns at everything don't we?"

 

"Yes, Carter. We're good at taking turns. We're good sisters!" 

Come play with us during Spring Break this March at the Titanic Museum Attraction! We promise to take turns with you at the helm!

Spring is in the Air

WOOHOO! Spring is almost here!!!!!!!!!

"Molly, I am so excited that spring is just around the corner, and we get to welcome all of the Spring Break crowds to Titanic!"

"Me too! Last weekend was a blast! The Titanic is the most romantic ship in the world! Weren't all of the couples just lovely?"

"Yes - and the vow renewals at the Grand Staircase! It's a girl's dream, but wouldn't it be like a fairytale if I were to marry Brojan at the ship!?"

 

"Oh Carter, Carter. Dogs don't get married, they multiply."

 

"Wow - that took all of the romantic wind right out of my sails, Molly. Thanks a lot."

"You're welcome."

"Besides, Carter, I'd be very sad if you left my side."

"Now, that is the sweetest thing you have said to me all year!"

"It's only February."

"I know, but it adds drama when I say 'ALL YEAR!'"

"You've got a point. Who taught you these things?"

 

"I have many teachers, Molly. In fact, all of my teachers are invited to the Titanic for the remainder of February for Titanic Loves Teachers! We want to honor all of our teacher friends!"

"And we'll be back at the Titanic March 1st & 2nd, and also for Spring Break - in case the teachers miss us!"

How about for Easter?

 

"Carter, Easter isn't until late April. Let's not think about that now!"

 

"OK, Molly, but I am really hoping the Easter Bunny brings me lots of chocolate kisses, cream filled candy eggs, and marshmallow Peeps."

 

"Stop, Carter, you're making me hungry! That sounds delicious! Hurry up Easter!"

Super Bowl Weekend!

Considering a New Career in Sports...

"Carter, I had never thought of it before, but we could consider becoming cheerleaders!"

"Maybe for the Puppy Bowl, but not the NFL."

"What's the NFL?"

"Molly, Molly, I'm usually the clueless one, but it's ok for you to take a turn at it once in awhile! The NFL is the National Football League, and their Super Bowl is this weekend!"

"Well, even if we can't cheer for the NFL, I would like to cheer for our puppy friends....I mean, we are dressed for the occasion."

"I know! Let's have our own Puppy Bowl. Lily can be the referee, and Biscuit can be the football player!"

"Um, Carter, I don't know much about football, but wouldn't we need an opponent for Biscuit?"

"Oh...yeah, I guess you're right. We'll need to plan better for next year."

"At least we can all pose for the camera since we're here! How about a different angle?"

"LOVE IT!"

"Well I love being with our family and having fun, and that is just what we are going to do this weekend! It was fun to visit our family at the ship too!"

"And we get to return again on Valentine's Weekend!"

"I thought retirement might get boring, but it has been a blast! Super Bowl parties, snow days, winter retreats...this is a dog's life!"

"Hey, Carter, how about this look for Valentine's Weekend?"

"It looks like you're smoking a rose."

"Ok, how about this then..."

"Uh...no."

"Isn't that how the models do it?"

"Molly, Molly...let's focus on one thing at a time. Get your cheer leading outfit back on and let's have some fun this weekend. We can blog about our time at the ship on Valentine's weekend later!"

"Oh, alright, Carter, but I still think I look like a model."
