A Fond Farewell!!

"Well, it is almost New Year's Eve and we are getting ready to celebrate...right, Carter? Carter? Why do you look so sad?"

"What's there to celebrate, Molly? We are retiring in two days and I'm going to miss everyone!! No more spotlight! No more adoration! No more tummy rubs and treats! Just talking about it makes me want to cry!!"

"Geesh, Carter - and you thought I was the drama queen!"

"Well, it's true, Molly. Doesn't it make you sad??"

"I suppose it would if I were never coming back, but I thought a lot about that Christmas wish you made, and I made a few calls."

"And?"

"And... I got us a schedule to come back in 2014 during specific dates like holiday weekends, summer months, and special events!"

"Really!?"

"Yes! We will have the best of both worlds next year! More time at home to live a dog's life, and special times to spend with our Titanic family."

"Oh, Molly, this is a Christmas wish come true! It's the best news ever! It's really time to celebrate now! Woohoo! It's party time!"

"Whoa, whoa, Carter, calm down. You might scare the children."

"OK, Molly, but I am feeling festive now! Let's go out for some drinks!"

"Carter, we don't drink!"

"Well, how about some big, delicious cupcakes!"

"No, we have to watch our weight."

"Some boiled potatoes?"

"Full of carbs."

"Kibbles of our dog food?"

"I think we can arrange for that - but only a few."

"Wow, you really know how to take the fun out of the party."

"You'll thank me later. Our semi-retirement years are just the beginning. We'll be on the cover of magazines, on the New York Times Best-Seller list, on daytime talk shows! You'll want to look your best!"

"Now who is being dramatic?"

"Not dramatic, just dreaming big! My first title will be, 'Molly: The Unsinkable Spirit of Titanic's First Dog Mascot'."

"Gee, let me guess the star of that Titanic tale..."

"...ummm, Molly, what's on your face?"

"Huh, what? Me?"

"Yes, on your face...oh my gosh! You have a rash! Did you infect me!?"

"Oh, Carter, it's just blush! I'm getting ready for my cover shot. What do you think of the Hollywood glam?"

"Looks pretty scary. Wait a minute! Did you get your lips done!? They look fuller than before. Oh no - it's come to this! You've gone under the knife and you're only 5 years old!"

"Calm down! It's just Photoshop - dogs don't even have lips."

"Whew - well, I'm glad to hear that! Wait - I don't have lips! Oh my gosh! How will I eat!"

"Oh my goodness, Carter! You have a lot to learn about show biz. Don't worry, we have lots of time now to teach you all about it."

Tune in next time to find out whether Molly & Carter
will adapt to their new, semi-retired life!

You still have a few more days to see us in 2013! We'll be right here to greet you!

Love,

Molly & Carter

Have a Holly, Jolly Christmas!

What will be under your tree this year??

"Oh, Carter, it's the most wonderful time of the year, isn't it? Pretty lights, snow in the air, Christmas music playing everywhere!"

"Hey, Molly, you rhymed!"

"Not only do I rhyme, but I ~~S~~I~~N~~G....!"

"I sing too!"

Fa-la-la-la-la-LA-LA-LA-LA!
"Carter! Carter!"

"What?"

"My ears - please - stop singing!"

"But singing is fun!"

"But listening isn't!"

"Hey, Molly, remember what we got for Christmas last year?"

"How could I forget those gorgeous tiaras! They sparkled like nothing else... except maybe the Titanic Jewelry Collection that is."

"We have a Titanic Jewelry Collection!?"

"Well yes, Carter, and if you want to get me something just wait until December 27th. Our collection will be on Jewelry Television, and I have my eyes on the pieces inspired by Madeleine Astor!"

December 27th 1pm-3pm & 10pm-12am

"Oooohh...what do they look like?"

"They're simply stunning! I can't describe them all, Carter, you'll have to go to www.jtv.com and look up the Titanic Jewelry Collection. Pick my gift from ANYTHING in the collection and I will really sing!"

"OK, Molly. You are my sister, and I love you, so I will get you something beautiful!!"

"What would you like for Christmas, Carter?"

"Gee, Molly, I have so much already... the ship is beautifully decorated in garland, lights, trees, & ornaments - it's breathtaking - and we have our Fantasy Princess here, and our family! What more could I ask for??"

"Diamonds?"

"Molly!"

"Well, it's not a bad request."

"Oh, I know! For Christmas I want to be able to visit my family here at the ship after we semi-retire! You know, like when families get together for the holidays."

"Visit the ship during holidays and special times of year in 2014?? I think I can work on that request. It is a very good Christmas wish."

"Now, Molly, it's time to cross our fingers and hope that we are not on Santa's naughty list!"

"Uh-oh..."

What are you doing this holiday season?

Princesses, Birthdays & Turkeys, Oh My!

Guess What Time of Year it is!?

"Carter, I get the feeling that something special is about to happen."

"Oh yes, Molly, it's time for the holidays! Shopping, eating, SPENDING MONEY!"

"But we're spending money on others, Carter."

"And others spend money on US! And we get double gifts because it's Christmas and it's our birthday! Yes!"

"Carter, over the years we've had great birthdays, and it was all about us. Now, it's time to give back. I say we help other dogs on our birthday - let's help them find forever families!"

"That's brilliant! What an amazing idea! Genius! Just one thing - what are we gonna do?"

"Let's invite our furry friends to Titanic on our birthday! With all the families that come here, they are sure to get adopted!"

"But isn't that on Black Friday?"

"Yes! People will be shopping for Christmas, and what better gift is there than a puppy?"

"A turkey!!"

"What? Carter, who wants a turkey for Christmas?"

"I'd love to have a turkey! Maybe the president will give me the turkey he pardons! Then we could dress up like last year for a Thanksgiving photo!"

"See, the only thing missing from this picture is a turkey."

"No, I see a turkey - she's the one with the feathers!"

"Hey, be nice."

"I am nice! I want you to be nice too. Let's help our friends!"

"Oh, alright, but do I get a turkey too?"

"How about some cake?"

"Throw on some chocolate frosting and we have a deal!"

"I'll make it an even sweeter deal. I'll invite Princess Karina and we can all celebrate princesses, birthdays and turkeys - oh my!"

"Sounds wonderful to me! This will be a birthday to remember! We have so much to be thankful for - we simply have to spend our Thanksgiving weekend helping others!"

"I couldn't agree more!"

Come see us Thanksgiving weekend at
Titanic Museum Attraction in Branson!

Love,
   Molly & Carter

Good Bye from 1st Class Maid Jamie...

My darlings!

Molly & Carter, to say I adore you is putting it mildly! I'm crazy, over the moon in love with both of you. We've been friends at first sight since you first came to the Titanic. All of the fun times we've had at the ship will always stay in my heart as some of my best memories & I'll treasure every sweet kiss you have me. You both have touched soooo many people with your soft, kind eyes, your big hearts, & adorable faces. I really love all of the times we got to spend rolling around in the grass in Titanic's back yard, you were such a good sport for modeling the sunglasses with me lol!

Loving you so much inspired me to get my very own puppy. He is a miniature dachshund (weenie dog) his name is Prince & he LOVES to bark! A lot! I love him soooo very much & I've told him all about you! He says thank you for being there for me before he could come along & be my very own doggy. I know that Molly, Carter, & Jamie will stay friends for a very long time! I love you very much,

Aunt Jamie

Left to Right: Molly, Misha Lee, Carter

Dear Molly & Carter,

I have so many wonderful memories of the two of you. I have seen you both bring so many smiles to so many people of all ages. You will be missed, not only by all of your fans, but also by your Titanic family. I know you both will continue to touch the hearts of people everywhere you go. I wish you two the best and hope you visit your crew soon. Love You!!

~First Class Maid Misha Lee

"Aww, Carter, remember this picture with sweet Misha?"

"Um, not really. I think I must have slept through it."

"Wow, look at how nice our hair looks!"

"Did Misha do our hair that day?"

"No, silly, she does human hair! Maybe we can go to cosmetology school when we retire!"

"Cosmo-what?"

"It's where you learn how to make people beautiful."

"But we're dogs."

"Oh, never mind, Carter!"

We love you Misha Lee! Thanks for the good-bye letter!

Good Bye from Officer Rod...

From left to right: Carter, Rod, Molly
My Dear Molly & Carter,

How sad I was to hear of your impending retirement!  Then again, you have indeed had a full career with us here at Titanic!  After all, in dog years, you've been doing this for almost 28 years!  That is indeed a very long time to work as hard as you girls work.  I simply can't imagine what it must be like to ride around the museum in a carriage and have hundreds of people petting you all the time, and then the tricks you do!  You amaze me every day!

Molly, I will miss giving you those belly rubs and finding your tickle spot, seeing your bright smile coming into work everyday.

Carter, I am going to miss your laid back attitude.  You have turned lying around and absorbing adoration into an art form...Bravo, my dear!

Well ladies, it is time to sign off.  As the Goldsmith family says, I won't say goodbye because that is forever.  I'll just say to you now...see you later!

All my love to you both!

Good Bye from Jerimiah...

Left to Right: Molly, Jerimiah, Carter

Molly & Carter,

I remember being asked to partake in your introduction right after I started at the corporate office and how much fun it was. I don't see you everyday, but I do remember when you came by and tried your hands at Accounting! I think I am still finding dog hair in my keyboard!

I do enjoy being able to see all your pictures on Facebook and catch up with you on your Blog. You have truly touched the crew members' and passengers' lives, and helped brighten even the gloomy days. While you may be semi-retired now, I'm sure you will be busy catching up on your reading and artwork.

All the Best,
Jerimiah

Captain David Good Bye...

Left to Right: Captain David, Molly, Officer Mick

Dear Molly & Carter,

Hi, my name is Tatum.  I am a girl Beagle and my human is Captain David.  I have not met you two, but I know you because I can smell all about you on my human when he comes home after being gone during the day.  He knows I can smell you when I sniff him, and he tells me all about your adventures.

Left to Right: Captain David, Carter

He says you are very nice to everyone and he looks forward to seeing you because it always brightens his day. He says he really likes the way little humans act when they see you and pet you.  He told me he is not going to see you very much next year, but I don’t know what a year is.  He says he will miss you and I won’t get to smell you as much as I do now.

Molly & Maddie (The Captain's granddaughter!)

He said it makes him sad that he won’t see you as much, but he is more sad that the little humans won’t get to pet you anymore.  Maybe we can meet someday and play chase each other!

Love, Tatum

"Molly, we have a new friend! Thanks for writing us Tatum!"

"We would love to play chase with you!"

"Only if Maddie and Patty are there!"

"But we love you too Captain!"

"We'll miss you and want to thank you for letting us take the helm of Titanic!"

Welcome Back to School!

"Oh, Carter, it seems like it was just yesterday that summer was beginning and now it's already time to go back to school!"

"But, Molly, we don't go to school."

"I know that, Carter! It was a way to reference time passing!"

"OK, whatever that means."

"I think somebody around here could use some more education."

"Who is it!? I can teach them!"

"Nevermind, Carter. Just sit and look pretty. You're good at that."

"Aww... thank you, Molly, that's the nicest thing you've ever said to me!"

"Speaking of nice - wasn't the company picnic a nice way to close out the summer!?"

It was so much fun to meet everyone's families and to play with all of the kids!

And hanging around all of that yummy food wasn't too bad either!

"Ahhhh, yes, good-bye summer days! It was nice seeing you!"

"Well, Molly, since you said it's time to go back to school, we should tell everyone about our education page!"

"Great idea, Carter!"

"Titanic's website has an education page filled with wonderful resources for public school, private school, or homeschool lessons!"

"In fact, we have education guides for every subject, scavenger hunts, boarding passes, and other downloadable resources!"

"All for $19.99!"

"Wait, wait,....what!? There is no charge, Carter! It's all FREE."

"It's all FREE?"

"Yes."

"I can't even charge $1.99 to go buy a few extra biscuits?"

"NO, CARTER! We are helping to educate children. That is enough of a reward already!"

"$0.50 for a soda?"

"CARTER!"

"OK, OK - it's all FREE RESOURCES for teachers and students!"

"Molly?"

"Yes, Carter?"

"If we are going to educate children about the Titanic we'd better start reading all of these books!"

"You're right, Carter! Leaders are readers! Let's hit the books!"

Good Bye from Eric... AKA Patrick O'Donnel

Molly & "Patrick"

To Molly & Carter,

How to describe what these two little girls have done in our lives? They have not only brought our guests joy, but they have also filled our lives with timeless memories, love and compassion. Together they have changed the story, the face, and ultimately the history of Titanic.

Girls, I am really going to miss you. From those peaceful, sleeping faces in the kennel, to watching you in the back, munching away at frozen chunks of frigid ice. Oh how you love to eat ice!

I love you like sisters, and I am proud of you. I am proud of what you have accomplished, and the many more accomplishments that are to come.

God's Blessings be with You!
Your friend,

Eric Green

Officer Jeremy Good Bye...

From Left to Right: Molly,Jeremy, Carter
Dear Molly & Carter,

I will miss you both very much. Good luck on your lives adventures!

Jeremy

Left to Right: Jeremy, Carter, Molly, Angel

"Wow. He is so touched he is almost speechless."

"He's a man of few words, Carter, a man of few words."

"Molly, you totally blocked me in this picture, I'm almost completely hidden!"

"I look pretty good though, right?!"

"Stunning."

"Thank you, Carter."

"But Jeremy looks cuter than you in this picture."

"Yes, I have to agree! We will miss you too Jeremy!"

We Love You!!!

Good Bye from Danita...

Left to Right: Matt, Carter, Danita, Molly

Dear Molly and Carter,
I knew what kind of impact you would probably have with our guests, but I had no idea the magnitude of feelings that would come from the crew.   Our officers melt when you greet them with your wagging tails and running gait and our maids look for you around every corner so they might have an opportunity to give back the love that you so freely give to them.

You touched a lot of lives during the time you were on the ship,  including ours.

It will be hard not to see you every day but I am so happy for both of you.   Enjoy your semi-retirement.

Lots of dog kisses, Danita

Wallace Hartley and the Disappearing Violin

When the Music Stopped, the Legend Began

"Molly, so many visitors have come in the last few days to see one of the most important Titanic artifacts ever discovered - Wallace Hartley's violin!"

"I know, Carter. Everyone from the press was here yesterday: newspapers, TV stations, radio personalities! What an exciting day!"

"Well, it is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for Titanic fans to become a part of history."

"Who do you think will win it at auction when it leaves here?"

"I think...WE WILL!"

"WHAT!? Do you know how much it would cost? It's priceless!"

"Don't worry, Molly, I have a plan."

We will come in disguise under dark of night...
"Is that your disguise - because all of the fur, the ears, the nose - everything NOT HIDDEN will give you away! You didn't even cover your freckle!"

"Yes, but it will be night time so nobody will see me!"

"You'll still need a better disguise!"

"OK - how is this?"

"Better. Not great, but better. And what do you plan to do?"

"I will sneak into the auction house and carefully remove the violin and its case. Then I will fly it home and we will display it at the Titanic Museum Attraction FOREVER!!!"

"So let me get this straight...you are going to sneak it out of the country and then publicly display it here at the Titanic Museum Attraction... and you think nobody will notice where the violin went?"

"Well, I didn't get that far in the plan. I was hoping you would help me with the ending."

"The ending to this is you, me, your Zorro mask, and your cute bandanna in the county jail!"

Yikes! That ending isn't very good!

"No, Carter. That's why, as your sister, I can't let you do this."

"But, but..."

"Carter..."

"But, how will the world ever see it again!!! What if the buyer keeps it under lock and key!"

"Well, that is the very reason this is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity! And you have witnessed it! Consider yourself lucky."

"Well, every serious Titanic fan & history buff needs to come and be a part of it too!"

"You're right!"

We invite all of those that have not yet seen this iconic piece of Titanic history in person to visit us in the next 12 days! Don't miss it!

(...or Carter & I could end up in jail!)

We'll be right here to greet you,

Molly & Carter

Good Bye from Officer Jack... AKA George Brereton...

"George" and Carter

Hey Molly and Carter,
Enjoy semi-retirement!  You deserve it after 28 years of service at the Titanic.
Jack

"Uh, Molly, why did he say, "after 28 years of service at the Titanic? We've only been here four years."

"It's this thing humans do, Carter. They convert everything to 'Dog Years.'"

"Dog years?"

"Yes, you multiply the number by 7."

"So I'm really 35!? I'm ancient!"

"Carter, you have more pressing things to worry about, like WHY, for goodness sake you ALWAYS have your tongue out in pictures!"

"I like to lick my nose. It feels good."

"If you say so."

"I DO say so, and I also want to say, 'BYE JACK!'"
